     Samuel Lyon moved to Delaware County, NY when he was fourteen. At 17, he served for a short time in the War of 1812. He apparently spent most of his life as a farmer in rural New York, between Stamford and Worcester. He died July 27, 1884, at his son William's home in East Worcester, N.Y. He was 90 years old. Samuel Lyon was born on 6 May 1795 in Wilbraham, Massachusetts.1 He lived in 1809 Delaware Co., NY.1 He served for a short time in the War of 1812.1 He was apparently spent most of his life as a farmer in rural New York, between Stamford and Worchester in New York.2 He married Catherine Hamilton on 1 Jan 1817 in prob Delaware County, New York.1 Samuel died in East Worcester, New York, on 27 Jul 1884 at 89.2
